riverside: FAQ & MUQ (MOST UNUSUAL)
How do I buy tickets to a Riverside
Theatre show?
You can purchase tickets by fax or mail by printing out this
form, over the phone with a credit card by calling the box office
(319-338-7672), or in person at the Riverside Theatre box office
with cash, check or charge.
Does Riverside Theatre pay their actors?
Yes, as a professional theatre, we pay our actors, designers, technicians
and staff.
What happens if it is raining
the day I have tickets for the Shakespeare Festval?
Performances of the Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival will
continue even during a light rain, so plan on attending the play.
If the rain becomes too heavy to continue, or if there is other
dangerous weather, then the performance may be held for as much
as 45 minutes before a decision to continue or to cancel is made.
In the event that a performance has to be canceled, tickets may
be exchanged for another performance of the same production. Refunds
are only available if the performance has to be canceled before
the first act is completed.
Don’t the mosquitoes and other bugs
out at the park keep people from enjoying the outdoor performances
of the Shakespeare Festival? They usually aren’t a
major problem, but if the bugs are bugging you, the box office supplies
free bug spray before the show and during intermission.
Who does Riverside Theatre hire to act
in productions?
We hold open auditions for all of our productions, and hire theatre
professionals locally as well as nationally.
Are the same actors in both productions
of the Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival?
Yes, we create one company of actors to perform both plays of the
Shakespeare Festival. Many company members have more than two roles.
How do I enroll in a Riverside Theatre
Class?

Office at (319) 338-7672 or stopping by in-person, noon –
4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. You can also register for classes
